Jim has been a metalworker since graduating in 1989 from Sheffield Hallam University. He has worked in Education in conjunction with public art installations and sculptures, designed and produced items for the hospitality industry, designed cost effective methods of production for Designer homewares and manufactured these for well known High Street stores. He has been a part of the cutlery and metalworking industry, in Sheffield, for 25 years.

Recently Jim's designs have won acclaim at National level at The Worshipful Company of Pewterers Open Live Design Competitions.

Jim designs and makes quirky pieces in a range of metals including copper, pewter, steel and silver.Designs include  gifts, jewellery and quirky homewares. All pieces are individually handcrafted and made by Jim in his workshop in Meersbrook, Sheffield.

Jim enjoys using traditional silversmithing techniques and metalworking as well as designing and producing working CAD drawings for modern methods of production including laser profiling and 3D printing.
