Designed & Made in Sheffield

Quirky Metals is the initiative of Jim Stringer, an Award Winning Designer based in Sheffield, England. Following recognition and awards received at The Pewter Live Competitions from 2013 Jim, with help from his wife Laura, set up a workshop in Meersbrook in Sheffield. Since then they have been designing items for retail through galleries, art markets and online shops and Jim has been making these in his workshop.

Pewter Now Exhibition work dropped off at Kelham Island Museum, Sheffield, for an exhibition which runs from now until 25th February. We have submitted a set of 3 bowls. They were on exhibition in Devon, at Cockington Court, last Autumn and now they have come up North. Making these last Autumn for the "small is beautiful" Exhibition inspired us to make these  bowls with bugs for all the great markets we attended in Autumn and Winter 2017.
